Formed in 1974, PABJ today boasts more than about 300 members across the region.
This rich history and size allows us to serve as advocates for newsroom diversity and fair coverage of communities of color. We serve this mission through our awards programs, training institutes and signature community programs like our renowned Media Access Workshop. We’re are always welcoming of partnerships and sponsorships that help us advance and continue our mission of advocacy.
In 2019, PABJ launched a first-of-its-kind residency at Pipeline Philly, a co-working space next to City Hall. It is the cornerstone of PABJ’s new focus on supporting Black content creators & media entrepreneurs. Beyond newsroom diversity, our communities benefit best when we own the stories that get told and shared about us.
Our organization offers a variety of opportunities for exposure in the Philadelphia five-county area, South Jersey and Northern Delaware. You can gain exposure through PABJ events scheduled for the year. In addition, we are offering opportunities to advertise within our PABJ Awards programs.
